Vienna University and RYI Agreement |
 On 12th March 2011, The Centre for Buddhist Studies at Rangjung Yeshe
Institute joined hands with the University of Vienna in signing a formal
Academic Collaboration Agreement in a ceremony presided over by Chokyi Nyima
Rinpoche in the main temple at Ka Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery.
This five year agreement makes provision for joint research and the exchange
of both students and faculty members. It was signed on behalf of the
University of Vienna by Professor Dr. Arther Mettinger, Vice Rector
Educational Program and Internationalisation, and by Greg Whiteside,
Principal of RYI.
RYI would like to express its sincere thanks to Dr. Klaus-Dieter Mathes,
Head of Department at the Faculty of Philological and Cultural Studies in
Vienna, and to RYI's Thomas Doctor for facilitating this agreement.
